Attempting to fix your denture yourself using a ‘home repair kit’ may end up resulting in further damage and make your denture impossible to repair again and uncomfortable to wear. Department store glues contain harmful chemicals that should not be put inside the mouth. Glue should never be used to fix a broken denture. Broken dentures should only be repaired by denture experts trained and qualified to perform the repair.

A reline is an adjustment made to improve the fit of a denture or partial denture. This procedure helps to fill any gaps that may have been created over time between your dentures and the tissues in your mouth. Relining affects only the fit of your denture and will not change the appearance or address any wear of the denture teeth.

Rebasing is usually done when the denture teeth have not worn out in comparison to the denture base material. It is a process of retrofitting dentures by replacing the entire acrylic denture base with new acrylic, which provides a stable denture without replacing the denture teeth.
